Unexpected Shopping Hatus

I'm not quite sure how I feel about summer break coming close to an end. It's bittersweet. The sweet, summer clothes will slowly fade away while the warmer fall and winter clothes come back into season. Although I'm a huge fan of summer (and summer break), summer clothes does not play well in my wardrobe. The Bay Area has very few days of summer weather, which is why I prefer the "warmer" pieces. The bitter, school starts again. Don't get me wrong, I love learning, but...I'm not sure where's the but. Going back to school isn't as bad as I thought it would be.

This year, I'm looking into adding flowly blouses and cute (less kiddy and minimize the number of floral prints) tops into my wardrobe. Last week I purchased this top at H&M while I was in Roseville, CA. I love that it's a loose fitting blouse that can be dressed up or down. The pattern is something to adore as well. Plus sleeves and the length of the shirt complements all body types.

The only downer about this top is how sheer it is! I bought it thinking I would be able to wear this with a white or nude cami. The white was awful and the nude just didn't make the cut. So without anymore hesitation top is going back.

This is the only top I've purchased in about two months which is great for my wallet. I like to think of it as saving up for the upcoming splurges on Fall collections (hopefully it won't be full of neon, animal prints, and studs).

Readers -- What are you looking forward to this Fall?

  1. Oh I totally know what you mean about the sheer blouses! So cute on the hanger, but then it looks weird with a white camisole, and looks weird with a nude one. I never know what to do.

And thank goodness I'm not the only one who doesnt like the studs, animal print and neon. I don't have much summer clothes, so I'm looking forward to all the layering in the fall. And the cozy cardigans and boots! :)
