Banana Republic sweater blazer (buy), Nordstrom jeans and top,
J. Crew Outlet scarf, Ross flats,  Bulova watch,
Tiffany&Co. Infinity necklace and ring

This outfit is actually from a few weeks ago. I have been pretty busy lately, but not busy enough to not procrastinate. Don't you just hate that when that happens? Life of a college student.

I Spy Eyebuy Direct Review & Giveaway CLOSED

I went to see Dr. Hyver about eye correction treatment. (Does this count as cosmetic surgery?) I hate having frames in front of my face and I told him that. Dr. Hyver claims I am a good candidate for PRK or Lasik. I could do the procedure tomorrow if I wanted to, but I decided to wait until my eyes mature. Until then, I am looking for sleek and stylish glasses. Heck, I will probably continue to wear glasses even when I don't have to. I'm such a hypocrite.Give me a break, needing to use glasses and choosing to use them are two very different issues we have here.

A week after, Eyebuy Direct offered me to do a review for a pair of their glasses. I picked Andria.

It is similar to a pair of black glasses I have at home minus the bling on the side. My Andria glasses (with lenses) came in about a week. The package included a glasses case and a complementary lens cloth. What I really, really like about the case is that it is magnetic! Easily amused? I know. also offered a mini-giveaway for the readers of Just Better Together. One lucky reader will win a $30 gift certificate, redeemable in US or Canada

Kitty Kat

Forever 21 dress Macy's bandeau Old Navy cardigan and sandals
Bulova watch H&M bracelet Tiffany&Co. Infinity necklace and ring
Essie Island Hopping nail polish for fingers and toes

This kitty-kat dress was one of my impulse buy this summer. I sew the front flaps together and the back flaps together. I didn't like the idea of my bra peeking through and I definitely do not like the back of my bra showing either. Turns out, this wasn't the greatest idea because I stretched out the fabric. Now the fabric pulls away from the seems. (*tear*) I ended up unhemming my little stitches and wearing it as is. But since I move around so much at school it was a must that I wore some underneath, my bandeau. I wouldn't want weird-o staring!

Elbow Pads

This is a product of procrastination and curiosity.

H&M blazer & knit top, Nordstrom Rack pants, Ross flats,
Bulova watch, Tiffany&Co. Infinity necklace and ring

Anywho, I am not sure if I am a huge elbow patch fan. I thought I'd give it a try since my "home"jacket (does anyone else out there have "home" clothes?) has a huge hole on my right elbow. The left elbow isn't as bad, but it's getting there. (If I remember, I'll show you next time.) I'm sure how I managed to thin out the material on my elbows, but I did. Maybe if I lounged in this jacket I wouldn't be able to drill holes since it is doubly patched!

Plain to May I Take Your Order?

Kohl's tee, Wetseal skirt, Banana Republic sweater, Gap polka dotted tights,
DeMasque flats Tiffany&Co. Infinity necklace and ring

We have not had a sunny day here in the Bay Area in a very long time, and this morning was no different. I jumped the gun and wore a skirt+tights combo because I've been seriously tired of wearing jeans. (This is coming from a girl who refuses to wear jeggings.) And I am so glad I did because when 10:00am rolled in, the sun was shinning.

On the other hand. I am not a huge fan of what I am wearing. It is so plain - black, white, gray, and every in between. I thought it looked pretty good as I rushed out this morning, but as soon as I glanced at my reflection on campus I looked like a waiter! All I am missing is pulled back hair, a menu, and "May I take your order?"

Lemon Twist

Earlier this week I was finally able to make it home before 2pm and I was so happy. I felt so free. I haven't been home this early from class for the past three semesters, and it felt awesome. So awesome that I didn't know what to do with all my time. Yeah, I could should have done homework, but I was too happy for homework. So would that mean I am Ms. Grump when I have to do homework? Most likely. Probably.

So with my spare time, I made this yummy cake - A Lemon Bunt Cake

I usually don't include sprinkles, but I was too lazy to take them out. Besides, it looks more festive this way!

1 package of lemon/yellow cake mix (just about any Pillsbury cake mix will do)
4 eggs (beaten)
1 cup of milk
1 package of instant lemon pudding (approx 4oz)
0.5 cup of oil

How to:
shift the cake mix and lemon pudding into a large bowl
pour in beaten eggs
add milk
add oil
mix well with spatula (electric mixer - 4 minutes on medium) - I prefer not to use this because it causes the cake to break when it's baking.
Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes

Post Labor Day

Macy's top, H&M sweater, Nordstrom leggings, Zara flats,
childhood belt, Tiffany&Co. Infinity necklace and ring, North Face Recon backpack

After a long weekend of sleeping in and doing absolutely nothing but online shopping, you would think that a person would wake up feeling recharged and ready to tackle down the upcoming week. You are so wrong. At six in the morning with less than six hours of sleep, this is what I look like. A tired and squinty-eyed Justine. Now please excuse me so I can finish up a few more assignments before I pass out for the night.

Oh! Before I forget, what do you think of the tuck-in-your-too-long-leggings into your flats look? I started doing this over the summer. I realized it's a great way to avoid blisters from semi-uncomfortable flats that are too cute to pass up.

One last thing, don't forget to enter the GoJane giveaway happening here. It ends this Friday.

An Awesome Banana Republic Sale

*****Labor Day for 2011 is now over. Thus sale is over. *sad face* *****

Hello, hello!
On Friday night, last night, I didn't sleep until about maybe 6:30am this morning? I haven't readjusted to a school-night sleeping schedule yet. But my point here is that my cousin called me around noon to tell me about the awesome Banana Republic Labor Day sale event where you can stack coupons and still get free shipping $50+ before applied coupons! I'm not sure if that made sense, but in simpler terms, you can still get free shipping as long as you spend $50+ before discounts! Totally awesome!!

Here's how you can get the deal!
  1. Go to and follow the directions. There you will receive a one-time use discount code. I think the code varies from person to person, but I got a 30% off. (Yes, you can use this coupon in stores.)
  2. Enter in BRGET30 during check out
  • And to get even more discounts, shop through for 10% cashback on your Banana Republic order! Here is a link to my referral code if you have not signed up. Once you sign-up you can automatically get $5 on your cashback check or a $10 gift card to a selected store!
Here are a few of my picks! But you might want to hurry if you want anything because a few things I saw two hours ago are now gone!
