Plain to May I Take Your Order?

Kohl's tee, Wetseal skirt, Banana Republic sweater, Gap polka dotted tights,
DeMasque flats Tiffany&Co. Infinity necklace and ring

We have not had a sunny day here in the Bay Area in a very long time, and this morning was no different. I jumped the gun and wore a skirt+tights combo because I've been seriously tired of wearing jeans. (This is coming from a girl who refuses to wear jeggings.) And I am so glad I did because when 10:00am rolled in, the sun was shinning.

On the other hand. I am not a huge fan of what I am wearing. It is so plain - black, white, gray, and every in between. I thought it looked pretty good as I rushed out this morning, but as soon as I glanced at my reflection on campus I looked like a waiter! All I am missing is pulled back hair, a menu, and "May I take your order?"

  1. Lady, I've never had a waiter with polka dot tights and a bomb diggity (yes, I said it; no, I don't know why) cardi. You look great. Strut with confidence, missy. Work it!

Looking at your outfit again, I think you would have felt happier had you thrown a bright scarf on. I still think you look great as is and you should def. wear this outfit again (but maybe with the scarf to make yourself feel better).

  4. I don't think you look like a waitress at all! Sometimes dressing simple is best. :) You look fabulous, dear!

P.S. To answer your question about the nail stickers I used in my mom's moon pedicure, I got them in a nail kit from Wallgreen's! I'm pretty sure you can find them at any drug store. Or, you can pull a Lauren Conrad, and go to your local office supplies store/dollar store, and use those white reinforcement stickers used to fix a tear on 3 ring binder paper. :) It all works the same!

  5. P.S. How did you number the comments on your blog? I was trying to figure out how to do that yesterday. I think it would make choosing my giveaway winner much easier! :)

  6. I'm so glad that you're back! I don't think you look like a waiter with the cardigan. I always feel that way when I wear black & white, though so I definitely know what you're talking about!
