I hardly went out. I am so boring. It's summer too! Relaxing feels godly goooood!

Friday, July 23rd
This is what I wore when Bunny and I went to dinner. Before that, I was in sweats and a hoodie. I was at work sticking the reflector stickers on 1,500 cones because there was a mistake on the order. After that loaded 200-250 cones onto 6 trucks. Don't worry, little ol' me didn't do it all alone. There were about 15 other people there. So woohoo to that!

I forgot my camera, so we used Bunny's iPhone.
Yes, those leaves are sticking out of my butt.
I munched on that cupcake in 2 bites! It was petite. DELICIOUS!

Saturday, July 24th
Outfit repeater alert! I wore the same thing on 07/29/10. But instead of going to school, I attended the San Francisco Marathon Expo. I work for that marathon every year. I am up before the crack of dawn - 2:30am to be axact and ready at by post by 3:00am. Let me tell you, it's FREEZING in the morning.

Wednesday, July 28th
Bunny took a break from homework and we went out to dinner. We also made a quick stop to Crossroads so I could sell some clothes! It's real simple here. You bring your old clothes (not too worn out), they sort through it, and give you cash or store credit. Cash is 35% of their retail price or 50% store credit. I sold 1 dress, 1 top, and something else, I cannot remember for the life of me. I only made $7! So sad :( But on the bright side, I bought him coffee and myself a slice of mango cheesecake. I LOVE to eat.

I was hesitant when these shoes arrived from Piperlime. Talk about impulsive spending! I just wasn't sure it was "me." This is my first platform, first non-flipflop like sandle. I have to say it is really comfortable. I haven't tripped yet, well sort of...I need to remember not to drag my feet EVER and make sure Bunny is out of my way. Okay, so I did trip, just a little bit only because Bunny's foot was in my path.

I didn't get that many pictures again this week since I mostly stayed home in my pjs and sewed pillow cases from fleece fabric for a program called Hug Me Heart Pillow for the local hospital I volunteer for.

Saturday, July 17th
I wore the same outfit, but I belted just the top. Bunny suggested it and I liked it. Bunny and I went shopping in downtown San Francisco. We haven't been there in almost a year! It was an amazing! I totally forgot how everyone is so rushy-rushy. You have to love the city. I can't imagine how crazy NYC must be.

Sunday, July 18th
I wore this outfit for maybe a hour. I was too excited to take it off! My very first skirt I sewed together on my own.

I went out Monday and Wednesday, but I didn't get a chance to take a picture. I sort of forgot. Darn! Maybe better luck next week.

Ruffled Flowers

I think I really like to spice up plain white t-shirts. I should go for some color, but in the mean time, this is what I created with the inspiration from Sachiko's tutorial at Tea Rose Home.

Stitching on the flowers around the collar took awhile since...well I don't know. Maybe I am just slow! Haha.

Before:

I didn't take a before shot, I just found one online. I am using a t-shirt from Walmart. For the circles, I continued using the same tank top I used in my last refashion. You can see what I did here.

The perfect & most simpliest skirt tutorial

I finally got a chance to make a skirt ever since I read about how Elaine from Clothed Muched made s simple skirt with a tutorial she found at What Would a Nerd Wear.

This is definitely super simple. You just need to be able to cut fabric and sew a straight line. It is that simple!

I bought this dress at Ross a few weeks ago for $3! I wasn't crazy about the skirt part of the material, but the more I look at it, the more I learn to like it! I took the whole dress apart so I could resew in a thinner piece of elastic. I just cut the elastic in half. Unpicking took longer than sewing, so I would say you can get this done in 30 minutes or less. I am speaking from amateur sewing skills too!

My skirt is a little too big, but eh, that's alright! I'm too excited to care. Maybe I'll fix it one of these days, but until then, I will just belt it.

What I Wore Wenesday #4

Okay, even though I am done with summer school, I was pretty bad at taking pictures this week. I missed a few days. I was even an outfit repeater. Have you ever had one of those days where you just don't care and wear the same thing you wore the day before?

Thursday, July 8th
My last day of summer school. I feel as if I just took a super long pee after holding it for hours. Okay, this was probably a very bad analogy. Anyways, after school, I went to begin my summer volunteering. I didn't start in June since I wanted to concentrate in school.

Friday, July 9th
Bunny took off his wisdom teeth. Yup, all four. I just lounged around the house while he slept in some raggy, old t-shirt and leggings. Bunny wasnt too puffy after the operation. Maybe that pineapple juice worked after all. One of my teachers in high school told me that when her son took off his wisdom teeth, he drank pineapple juice all day the day before the operation to reduce the dramatic swelling. I totally wish I knew this before I took mine out. I swelled up bad! I even had an infection that reoccurred a month later. It sucked.

Saturday, July 10th
I hung out with Bunny till dinner time. Then I went to a friend's birthday dinner. I didn't have a really good night since he kept saying I had a mustache. (Some friend huh? Don't answer that. I've known him since we were in middle school. I am just being too sensitive, probably.) I ended up having that exact friend drop me back at home. (I totally wish I drove at that moment.) I just really wanted to be with Bunny and get away from all the judgment. I always feel safer when I am around him. I am never ridiculed when I am with him.

In case you're wondering why I never smile in my pictures, it is because I had to put my braces back on in January. I think since then my self esteem has plumped. When I had braces in middle school, I hated them too. People made fun of me. I guess from my childhood experiences, I feel that people will still react the same way? I know there are some people who are older with braces, and are just fine, but I don't know. I don't know how to explain it. If you're wondering, it isn't that my teeth were crooked. My teeth were relatively straight, I wore my retainers every night, even at slumber parties! It is that my bottom jaw shifted to the left and my jaw kept making this snapping/popping sound. My orthodontist originally had me use a mouth guard, it looks something like what football players wear when they play a game, I couldn't breathe very well at night with it on, so it resorted to braces.

Wednesday, July 14th
Yup, I blinked. Every time I blink it just makes me laugh. I am a blinker when it comes to taking pictures. I remember when I had to take my senior portraits, my photographer was getting a bit frustrated with me because every time she took the picture, I blinked my eyes at the same exact moment the camera clicked. :)

I look so tan in this picture. I am NOT tanned. I am pale-pale. Sadly. I need to soak in some vitamin D.

To Disney

The other night, Saturday night to be exact, I came home, turned on my computer, and began clicking on my tabs on my toolbar. And my first tab I almost always click first when I turn on my computer is Disney's, Ruffles and Stuff tab. It read, "The End." My heart sank when I read those two little words. It was as if my heart broke into two little pieces. That feeling you get when that boy you like oh-so much, broke your young and tender heart in grade school. I am so sincerely sad. She inspired me to create my own blog and to pull out my mom's old dusty sewing machine to creative unique things that belong to me. Disney, I'm glad everything is okay with your family. It must have ben so hard for you to take the decision to stop blogging. I hope one day, you come back to bloggerland so all your friends here can read all your creative master pieces. But in the mean time, thank you for sharing your creativity with us.*Hugs*

Movie date with Bunny. We went to see Eclipse! I definitely think this movie was a lot better than New Moon. Bunny even thinks Eclipse wasn't that bad. (He only watches it because I am a fan.) I cannot wait to see Breaking Dawn!

Bunny and I caught the early bird viewing of Grown Ups for $6. After we just went back home and studied. I have a final on Thursday! Ah! Summer school is coming to an end.

I just went to school, came back home, and made lunch, and studied. Yup, that's my life on weeknights during the school semester. I'll admit it, I am rather boring.
